The Chief’s Basic Rules

Rule 1: The Chief is always right!

Rule 2: In the event a subordinate is right, refer to RULE 1.

Rule 3: Chief’s do not sleep; they rest.

Rule 4: Chief’s are never late; they are delayed elsewhere.

Rule 5: Chief’s never leave their work; their attention is

required elsewhere.

Rule 6: Chief’s never read the newspaper in the office; they

Study it.

Rule 7: Chief’s never take liberties with others; they educate them.

Rule 8: Chief’s are always Chief’s, even in the shower.

Rule 9: Whomsoever may enter the Chief’s office with an idea of their own must leave the office with the Chief’s idea.

Rule 10: If, in your lamentable ignorance, you fail to grasp the truth of these rules, fear not. Return to Rule 1.
