A Chief's Philosophy

1.     Except for the mission nothing is more important then the welfare of the troops.

2.     Remember that the most important thing to your troops is the welfare of their families.

3.     Take care of the troops and troops will take care of you.

4.     Don't take care of the troops and the troops will take care of you in an adverse manner.

5.     Your troops got you to where you are and will get you to where you are going.

6.     Your rank is the result of your troops performance.

7.     Let the troops do their job and they will make you look good, don't let them do their job and they will make you look bad.

8.     Never ask your troops to do something you wouldn't do.

9.     Lead by example, let the troops do what you do, not what you say.

10. The troops, the troops, always the troops.
