Jun 07:  Bolling chiefs help group add personal touch at Arlington interment ceremonies

ARLINGTON, Va. — Chief Master Sgt. Manny Sarmina presents the U.S. flag to Frances Goss, widow of Chief Master Sgt. Jack M. Goss. Chief Goss’ funeral was held June 14 at Arlington National Cemetery. Seated next to Mrs. Goss is her daughter, Jacqueline Leach. Chief Goss served in the Air Force from 1942 to 1968. Chief Goss was a World War II prisoner of war. He survived a B-29 crash in Korea and was one of the first 50 promoted to the chief master sergeant rank not long after the Military Pay Act authorized creation of the E-8 and E-9 pay grades in 1958. Jun 07:  Dorm Cooking - NCR Chiefs Group Pledges Support for Future Cooking Classes
Dormitory Cooking

Tech Sgt. Vernon Scott, enlisted aide to Lt. Gen. David A. Deptula, instructs a group of Airmen on how to prepare barbeque chicken and ribs at Blanchard Barracks May 30. The barbeque was held as part of the monthly cooking classes for dorm residents as well as a farewell to Chief Master Sgt. Jeffery K. Bowes. A binder containing all the recipes and safety briefings offered in each class is maintain by dorm managers, and is a work in progress. To obtain a copy of any of the recipes or other information, please see the Dorm management staff. Although classes are held monthly, dates for June’s class have yet to be set.
